The Marketing Agency’s Work Placed First For Web Design And Second For Logo Design In Annual MarCom Awards International Competition

Marlton, NJ DiPietro Marketing Group LLC announces that it won two awards in the MarCom Awards international competition. One award is a first place Platinum Award for web design for its client The other is a second place Gold Award for logo design for its client

“There were nearly 5,000 entries from the US and abroad from small shops to conglomerates”, explained Steve DiPietro, Managing Partner of DiPietro Marketing Group LLC. “Winning not one, but two awards is an quite an achievement in that context.” Winners were selected from over 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts.

The Platinum Award, the top honor awarded, for in the category of web design is of significance due to the strategic thinking behind it. “We combined our own competitive research with our client’s customer knowledge to develop a theme line that promised a benefit which would be a hot button to customers,” said Mr. DiPietro. That theme line was Find It Fast, Get It Fast, which helped differentiate from competitors, too. From there, the creative team, led by Creative Director Brian Mervine, visually expressed the speed thought in the logo design and the site, plus communicated it further through a Flash animation on the home page. The look is intentionally clean for the purpose of allowing the product to standout.

The logo created by DiPietro Marketing Group LLC for its client was described as a challenging but fun project. “Our client really wanted something different, and was very open to our ideas,” said Mr. DiPietro. The agency thought about its client, a new ecommerce venture, from the customer’s perspective. It was determined that the customer was not really buying a gift basket, but rather, it was the desire to make a lasting impression with the recipient of the gift. The line A Lasting Impression In Minutes was born. Mr. Mervine then led the creative efforts to develop a logo that visually expresses what the business does, and incorporates the theme line into ne visual unit.

The MarCom Awards competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. It is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals. The association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
